Your first session is mostly about getting to know each other. You’ll talk about what brought you to counselling, your goals, and how we can work together. It’s normal to feel nervous — this is a safe space.
This depends on your goals and needs. Some people feel better after a few sessions, while others continue for several months. Progress is unique to each person.
Typically, sessions are weekly or biweekly. We can adjust this based on what works best for you.
We’ll regularly check in about your goals and progress. Feeling more understood, gaining clarity, or noticing small changes in your thoughts, feelings, or behaviours are all signs of progress.
A good fit means you feel safe, respected, and heard. If at any time you feel it’s not working, we can discuss your options, including seeing another counsellor.
Petals To Wings Counselling counselors can help with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, grief and loss, trauma, and more.
Please let us know as soon as possible. We have a 24–48 hour notice policy to avoid missed session fees.
